Good Day Ladies! Are you feeling colourful today? Yes, I meant your makeup and clothes. Ok, you'll be thinking how does this even relate to pilates or fitness topics that I've been sharing here before. Well...just a tinge of something different that we definitely can relate - Makeup! ;)
Some might argue that hey, why do you even wear makeup for a fitness class and some might be thinking where can they find breathable makeup for workouts. This sharing, is for the latter group although it's open to anyone who don't mind reading this :)
Disclaimer: I'm not a makeup artist and this is just to share what i usually put on and also some of the favourite brands that i use.
You know, the world of marketing has made it popular even for the Olympians to wear colourful waterproof makeup to look presentable during their performances. Not that as if they look weird with the sweat and all, but just presentable. And some wear them to add on a little confidence for the inner GIRL call. For me, I personally like to feel and look good when I take videos or pictures with my students in the classes before i post them on social media. Who doesn't want to look good in pictures? Especially when you're tagged! Lol. And for sure, nobody would want to see my heavy dark rings from my daily night struggles putting my little one to bed.
The look? It doesn't have to be heavy like you're going for some Gala event, but just some light colours on the canvas.
So, here I present you my 3 looks that I put on for fitness classes/events. Bottom line - Just Be You.
Look No. 1 - Sporty/Sweet
Look No. 2 - Glam and Sparkly
Look No. 3 - Unique and Bold
Before anything, i put on my moisturiser and face serum from Leaf-Juice (because i've dry-combination skin).
1) eyeshadow in dark colour by Burberry (add-on brush by Alima Pure)
2) eyebrow pencil in no. 4 by Benefit
3) volume black mascara by Yves Rocher
4) coral powder blush by Bobbi Brown/Shu Uemura (brush by Bobbi Brown)
5) rose cream blush cum lipstick by Muji
6) gold and pink mica eyeshadow by Leaf-Juice
7) purple lipstick by Loreal x Balmain
8) luminous powder by Hourglass
9) light concealer by Rimmel
So, as you can see, i'm just adding colours instead of having a thick base. If you need it to hold longer, then prep it with a primer in the beginning or spray on something that can last your look for awhile. If you are afraid that it will clog the pores, then don't use anything heavy and make sure you clean your face well every time. So far, when I did cardio or heavy toning sessions, these makeup stays on. I do not use additional stay-on sprays or primer (only sometimes the SPF 50 moisturizer cum primer) from Shu Uemura (mini tube travel size which I got for free).
Here are some list of the brands that I find suitable for my skin and I love the colours and textures. Mine is a combination skin with a little sensitive on my right cheek.
(*Disclaimer: I'm not paid for this referrals)
1) Leaf-Juice (Love Love Love this!) - cheap and good
